About Us

Uscreen is a profitable, remote-first SaaS company helping creators build and grow video membership businesses. We recently partnered with a leading private equity firm to fuel our next stage of growth. As we transition from a founder-led, bootstrapped business into a more mature, structured organization, building a world-class People function is central to our future.

The Role

We’re hiring a Director, People to join our leadership team and build our people function from the ground up. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for an HR leader who is excited to bring structure, clarity, and programs that support a global, remote workforce while driving real business outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and implement scalable People Ops programs across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance reviews, goal-setting, and feedback.
  • Shape compensation and compliance practices, ensuring competitive systems and U.S./global compliance
  • Design engagement practices that strengthen culture and productivity across a fully remote, distributed team.
  • Directly perform full-cycle talent acquisition duties while also managing relationships with external recruiters as needed. Help elevate candidate experience and position Uscreen as a top destination for employment in our space.
  • Coach and advise managers and leaders with empathy and pragmatism. Handle sensitive issues with professionalism, confidentiality, and compassion.
  • Connect people strategy to business outcomes, supporting profitable and disciplined growth.

What We’re Looking For

  • 6-10 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in tech, SaaS, or subscription-based businesses.
  • Meaningful contribution during a period of significant organizational scale and growth.
  • Expertise with core areas like performance management, recruiting, compensation, onboarding, compliance, and supporting remote/global teams.
  • High EQ and a personable style, with the ability to connect with a smart and emotionally intelligent leadership team.
  • Relishes balancing strategy with hands-on execution – prefers sleeves permanently rolled up.
  • Based in the U.S. with the ability to work Eastern or Central hours.

Why Join Us?

  • Shape the culture and operating model of a PE-backed growth company.
  • Build the People function from the ground up in a profitable, mission-driven SaaS business.
  • Partner with a high-performing leadership team that values EQ as much as IQ.
  • Make a lasting impact while enjoying the flexibility of a remote-first workplace.

Depending on how far you get in the process, it can take anywhere from 1 week to 4 weeks, varying on the seniority of the position, as well as the volume of applications for that particular post.

Why do you ask for a video introduction?

As a remote company, we’re aware of the perks but also the drawbacks of remote work. At Uscreen, we believe that putting a face to the voice is imperative for a healthy working environment. We see the video introduction as a symbolic first step.

Can I apply for multiple positions at once?

If you feel you qualify for multiple positions listed on our website, feel free to mention it in the cover letter. We won’t disqualify anyone based on multiple applications to separate job posts, but the cover letter will be the best way to go.

Will I be required to travel?

This depends on your location and job requirements. If any travel is needed, this will be specified in the job description and pointed out in the recruitment process. If you have an impairments prohibiting you from traveling and it might affect your work, please mention it in the cover letter.

Can I work from anywhere?

Remote work offers additional flexibility in choosing your own working environment such as workstation, lighting, ambient, etc. However, to stay efficient as a remote worker, we require all our team members to have a quiet space dedicated and optimized for work.

What time zone should I be in?

We have team members across the world, in different time zones. However, we do require an overlap with our headquarters in Washington, DC. This overlap will be defined for each position separately and can be anywhere from 4 to 8 hours depending on the position.
